KAMIAH VICKERS ACTRESS | PLAYWRIGHT

Kamiah Vickers is a dynamic actor and playwright based in the heart of New York City. With a personal motto of writing the script and acting the part, Kamiah embraces every opportunity to tell stories that are truthful to her experiences. Originally from a small town in Ohio, she discovered early on that storytelling was her true calling—whether through acting or writing. Her artistic journey flourished at New York University, where she honed her craft and contributed to numerous exciting projects.
Kamiah's acting credits include standout roles in The National 24 Hour Play Festival, which premiered at Classic Stage Company, and Step Kids the Musical, which debuted at the Flea Theater. As a playwright, her works have been showcased at venues such as The Flea Theater, New York Theater Festival, and Bed-Stuy Art House. Her monologue was recently selected for The Barter Theater’s Black Stories, Black Voices Showcase, marking a significant moment in her growing body of work. 
Currently, Kamiah is proud to be part of the MCC Ambies Cohort and is a dedicated member of Actors Equity Association. Beyond her artistic pursuits, she is deeply committed to supporting the theater community, working in various roles within the industry. She serves as a Room and Reservation Coordinator at the Dramatists Guild Foundation and is also an employee at St. Ann’s Warehouse. Kamiah remains passionate about elevating live theater and bringing new, bold stories to the stage..
